Open folder/file as root

  1. Edit > Configure custom actions...
  2. At the Basic tab, click on + sign in the right horizontal icon menu.
  3. Fill in the Name and Description fields.
  4. In the Command field enter pkexec thunar %f.
  5. At the Appearance Conditions tab, check off Directories and Text Files.
