Baked Cajun Shrimp

Ingredients

  • large shrimp (peeled and deveined) (1 lb.)
  • olive oil (3 tablespoons)
  • Cajun seasoning (2 tablespoons)
  • lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
  • garlic cloves minced (3)
  • paprika (1 teaspoon)
  • thyme (1 teaspoon)
  • oregano (1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Mix together the Cajun spice, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Put the shrimp that have been peeled and deveined into the basin that contains the Cajun marinade. To ensure that the shrimp are uniformly covered with the tasty mixture, give them a quick toss. Let them sit in the marinade for at least 15 to 20 minutes so that they can fully absorb the robust flavors.
  4. Prepare a baking pan for easy cleaning by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place the shrimp that have been marinated on the baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure they do not touch each other.
  5. Bake the shrimp for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are pink and opaque, after placing the baking sheet in an oven that has been prepared. If you leave the shrimp in the oven for too long, they will turn into a rough texture, so take care not to overcook them.

Serve over rice.
