Sesame Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs chicken breasts (3 - 4) boneless and skinless, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- sesame seeds
For Sauce
- 7 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp cooking sherry
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F degrees.
- In a large oven proof skillet, heat the 1 tbsp olive oil together with the 1 tbsp of sesame oil.
- In a large bowl toss the chicken with the flour, salt and pepper. Make sure each piece of chicken is coated with the flour mixture.
- Cook the chicken on each side until light and golden, about 2 to 3 min per side.
- In a small bowl whisk all the sauce ingredients together.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken in the skillet and sprinkle sesame seeds over and stir.
- Place the skillet in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.
- Serve warm over a bed of rice or with a side salad.
