Creamy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts, halved (1 lb.)
- slices bacon, chopped (4)
- cloves garlic, minced (2)
- heavy cream (1 cup)
- grated Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup)
- shredded mozzarella cheese (1/2 cup)
- olive oil (1 tablespoon)
- salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Cook the Bacon
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan
Sauté the Brussels Sprouts
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are golden brown and tender.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Make the Creamy Sauce
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the Brussels sprouts and garlic.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cream thickens slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese until melted and well combined.
Combine and Serve
- Add the crispy turkey bacon back to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
