Spicy Tomato Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • boneless pork loin chops (4)
  • large onion, chopped (1)
  • tomato sauce (8 ounce/236 mL can)
  • water (1/4 cup)
  • chili powder (2 teaspoons)
  • dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
  • Worcestershire sauce (1 teaspoon)
  • sugar (1/2 teaspoon)
  • crushed red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Season with Cajun spice before browning the chops.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown pork chops on both sides.
  3. Remove chops from skillet.
  4. In same skillet, cook and stir onion until tender.
  5. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  6. Return pork to skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 15-20 minutes or until tender.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
