Assignment Introduction

Through practice, the skills listed above will increase your effectiveness as a practitioner. This assignment will provide an opportunity for you to reflect on what areas you would like to strengthen as you move into your professional practice. While practicing these skills, it is important to remember the spirit of MI and that you are working in partnership with your clients. Remember to address issues of confidentiality and privacy at the outset. This video assignment is a chance to practice and apply skills in a safe learning environment. The timeframe for the video does not provide enough time to include everything—your professors are aware of that. Your written analysis will provide information to your professor of what you didn’t include and the rationale of why.
